Golden Beach Hire in Caloundra is one of the few places in Australia where one can book a session and learn how to sailboard, windsurf and now WINGsurf! The Pumicestone Passage is also a favourite spot for expert windsurfers and wingsurfers from all over Southeast Queensland.
We have “Starboard Start” beginner sailboards that allow almost anyone the ability to experience the excitement that sailboarding/windsurfing has to offer. Wingsurfing is done on our beginner windsurf boards for the first hour. On your second visit you can try hiring our foil board. Our easy to understand, personalised instruction sessions will have you sailboarding, windsurfing or wingsurfing in no time at all. We also have a range of equipment to meet your needs and help you progress on each visit at your own pace.
(Note: Beginner windsurfing/sailboarding/wingsurfing is best done in 7-12 knot winds, there is also a 15 knot maximum allowed as stipulated by our insurance provider)

Beginner Sailboard/Windsurfer/Wingsurfer
1st Hour $90, Consecutive Hours can be arranged after observing the first hour of hire.
Beginner Sailboard/Windsurfing/Wingsurfing Instruction $30 for 30 Minutes, (Note: Instruction is required if this is your first windsurfing experience. Also, it is best to call ahead and discuss some terminology and videos to watch before your arrival, this will certainly help speed up your learning process and enjoyment.)
Extended Beginner Sailboarding Instruction is $60 for One Hour Instruction, which is often needed for those with minimal general understanding of the wind and sailing, and/or those with poor balance/coordination.
Intermediate windsurf equipment hire is limited, so please call to enquire regarding available sail sizes and boards. Expert windsurfing equipment NOT available due to high cost, decreasing demand and the 15 knot insurance limit.
